J’adore Paris!

I love the Paris fashion week, because of Maison’s such as ‘Balmain’ !!!

It just makes me feel fabolous!!!

Aquilano & Rimondi, who did you say?

Am I the only one not to have heard of this duo before?

Tommaso Aquilano and Roberto Rimondi are the new rising stars of the Milan Catwalks!  Their second showing in Milan attracted even the queen of Vogue USA Anna Wintour… and I understand why!

They showed a beautiful collection of feminine and elegantly sophisticated pieces that every women out there must have!!  (and i know I have been saying that a lot lately)… But this is a dream come true my ladies!!

Let the images speak for themselves!!  Pure elegance!!

All eyes on Milan

The third of the big stops on the fashion week schedule, is everyone’s favorite city of fabulous cappucinos and Italian glamour!

There is so much great fashion showcased in this city that it is really hard to pick the top looks and designs for Spring 09…. here are a few of my favorites thus far..

Starting with Alberta Ferretti.. The Queen of Romantic draping as usual showed a beautiful collection of silk gowns.  Every girl has got to have at least one!

Followed by Christopher Bailey, everyone’s favorite British boy, once again showed an interesting collection for Burberry Prorsum, but I only came out with one favorite must have look! ‘Metallic Silk’!

My secret love affair with Missoni started on my first trip to Italy back in 2000, ever since then I can not stop admiring this brand! This season Angela Missoni brought us back to the 70’s but in a more subtle and sophisticated way.

And last but not least on the this Milan overview is Pringle of Scotland.  Unlikely pick for me, but their collection this season was more interesting and eye catching then usual, what an Arty Affair!..

Calling on London!

Its London’s turn to strut its stuff on the catwalk and Aquascutum did just that!!

Here is one of our favorite dresses from their collection.  This beautiful baldwin blue dress is on our must have list for Spring 09!  its sexy and elegant……….what more can a girl ask for!!

Lady Love

Badgley Mischka  always makes me feel like a lady…rich chiffons, ruffles and flowy silhouettes …. I’ll take one of everything.

The Halston comeback!

Right out of Studio 54 or at the Palace in Paris, the Halston’s show was just that!! A trip down memory lane!!

I love every piece of the collection that I contemplated posting the entire show on the blog, but I managed to choose a few of my favorite styles.

Now, I just have to find out how to get on the waiting list to score one of these gorgeous dresses before they are all sold out!!

C’est Magnifique

It’s Monique and she is magnifique! Every season, when I pick my top ten looks….Monique Lhuillier is ALWAYS on the list. This season, she offered more day looks in her collection, due to demand from her clients and I think she will be hugely successful with it. I’m happy for you, Monique. Once again, a beautiful collection…….

Catwalk fever

Adding to our favorite looks from the NY fashion week are Peter Som with his elegant eclecticism, Thakoon who recently dressed Michelle Obama for the Democratic convention and …..

one of my favorite looks of the week,  Proenza Schouler with the 80’s inspiration and the bright red lipstick statement.. J’adore!!!!!!

I must confess, I am secretly loving the 80’s inspiration to the point that my fiance called me his 80’s rock star!!!

…am I the only one??

Girl Power!!

Posh worked up the paparazzi into a frenzy with her new haircut… right before she launched her new dress collection!!

This girl really knows how to get publicity when she wants it!!  She has appeared on every possible fashion website, blog and daily newspaper !!

Now that’s true GIRL POWER!!

Posh at the Marc Jacobs show

Posh Style

So….my OTHER favorite woman in the universe launched her dress collection this week! It’s not clear yet which retailers will win the honor of carrying her line, but wherever these designs end up…so will I.
