Written by my friends Jesse Garza and Joe Lupo, it’s “color me beautiful” for OUR times. The photos are gorgeous, it is easy to follow and makes a really great present for the women in your life.

On a personal note, Jesse and Joe are fabulous. They are kind, talented, funny, amazing men. I am so proud of them both………….

The January issues are arriving daily in my mail box and they all seem to have the same theme: New YEAR! New President, New Look, New Hair, New Everything! That’s actually what I love about New Year’s…. you leave the bad of the old year behind and keep the positive with you in the New! Words to live by, mes amies.

Winter holidays has become one of my favorite times of the year!

The snow covered Alps, the silence and beauty on top of the mountain and (when you are lucky) the sunshine embracing your face, you feel like you are in another world!

With so many stations to choose from here are some of my favorites that you can never go wrong with in the French Alps!

Megeve, Avoriaz followed by Courchevel, Chamonix, Val D’Isere (where the 2009 world championship of skiing is taking place this weekend)!

And for the daring adventurists there is always La Vallee Blanche, a 18km long ski pist which takes you back to Chamonix, giving a descent of 2700m! 

And lets not forget the great apres-skii parties with Vin Chaud & Champagne, followed by Crepes aux Nautella and fondu Savoyarde!!!  Now doesn’t that make you dream just a little???

My dear friend Aimée Swaton has a new website! Aimée, who is not only a mom of three and beautiful wife, is a talented artist who recently started her own company called Portrait of Your Home. Like the painting above, Aimee’s works are done in a style that evokes freshness and femininity which captures the soul of the striking homes she paints. The elegance these paintings exude comes from the inspiration she finds in the textures and authenticity of the materials whether high-tech or with the patina of centuries of history. Nicole Kidman stopped by my favorite hotel in the world this week….. Le Georges V, bien sur. Madame Kidman is in Paris with her husband Keith Urban and co-star Hugh Jackman promoting their latest film, “Australia.” I have not seen it yet, but considering the fact that I’m still obsessed with “Moulin Rouge”…….

I can’t help it. I just can’t help it. Daniel Craig is now my favorite James Bond. I’ve been pretty faithful over the years to Sean, but …. I’m going on record today, casting my vote for Daniel Craig. And just to validate my decision, I watched Layer Cake last night. So, I just have to wonder…. do 37 year old Mom’s get to audition to be the next Bond girl? Oh, well. Never hurts to ask………….I’ll probably go see Quantum of Solace again if anyone wants to go with me???
